Denis van Beetz

Denis van Beetz is Director of Private Banking at Van Lanschot Kempen, where he has been advising high-net-worth individuals since 1998. His journey into Bitcoin began in late 2017, when he recognized the need for crypto expertise within the bank and took the initiative to build it from the ground up. Today, Denis plays a key role in shaping the bank’s vision and strategy around digital assets, supporting the onboarding of crypto-native clients and contributing to product development.

Outside of his professional role, Denis maintains a strong personal interest in Bitcoin and its ecosystem. He runs a full node, a Lightning node, and a little Bitaxe miner, driven by a desire to better understand the technology firsthand. While he leans toward Bitcoin maximalism, he maintains a keen interest in the volatility and innovation found in alts.
